Speaking at the Aging Life Care Association Conference: Giving a Voice to Caregiving Youth
Speaking at the Aging Life Care Association Annual Conference was an opportunity to share the experiences of Caregiving Youth with hundreds of care managers, healthcare professionals, and advocates from across the country. Through storytelling, collaboration, and conversation, we explored how communities can better recognize and support the millions of young caregivers who help care for loved ones every day.
Advocating for Heart Health at the Texas Capitol-June 2, 2026
In June 2026, I joined advocates from across Texas at the State Capitol for the American Heart Association's advocacy day. Meeting with lawmakers and learning more about public health policy showed me how important it is to speak up for issues that impact families and communities. The experience reinforced that advocacy comes in many forms and that young people can play an important role in creating healthier futures for everyone.
Favorite Point of the Crown: Scholarship
One point of the Miss America crown represents Scholarship, and it is one of the values that means the most to me. As a local titleholder, I have applied for more than 20 scholarships over the past month while preparing for my future goal of studying Communications and Broadcast Journalism at TCU. In this blog, I share why education matters, how scholarship opportunities are helping shape my future, and why investing in young women creates lasting impact.
Why Every Story Matters
Every person has a story worth telling. Throughout my journey as a Caregiving Youth advocate, I have learned that some of the most powerful moments happen when people feel heard, understood, and connected. Whether it's a young caregiver, a family member, or a healthcare professional, every story has the power to inspire, educate, and create change. In this blog, I share why listening to others has become one of the most important parts of my advocacy journey.
Balancing School, Service, and Advocacy
School. Cheer. Student Council. Advocacy. Family. Like many teenagers, my days are full, but each experience has helped shape who I am as a leader and advocate. In this blog, I share how I balance school, service, and Giving Grace while staying focused on my mission to support Caregiving Youth and make a difference in my community.
