I am beyond grateful to the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) for inviting me to speak about the incredible and often overlooked world of caregiving youth in Austin. It was an honor to share my thoughts and experiences with such a passionate and dedicated community during the March 2025 event, highlighted in the recent Treasure Talk newsletter.

AACY’s tireless work to support and advocate for young caregivers across the country is truly inspiring. Being part of this conversation in Austin—a city brimming with heart and resilience—reminded me of the strength these youth show every day as they care for their loved ones. I’m so thankful for the chance to shine a light on their stories and to connect with others who are committed to making a difference.
